Collection compiled by Alan Wood in preparation to write the history of Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD) commissioned by the Z Special Unit Association. This wallet consists of an account handwritten in pencil on pads numbered 16 and 17. Pad 16 contains notes on Stores Directorate; move of Advanced Headquarters from Melbourne to Morotai, 200 Flight, Medical Directorate; area allocation to groups; lugger maintenance; western base; Brisbane directorate; Reproduction Section which reproduced shipping documents, currency and propaganda; notes from standing orders, administration of Australian Army personnel, GSO II operations, senior naval and RAAF officers and naval SRD organisation maps. Pad 17 contains extensive notes from National Archives of Australia Series: A3269, notes from Volume II of the Official History of the Operations and Administration of Special Operations Australia (SOA); notes on operations Python, Agas IX and Agas V, Robin project, Squirrel and Semut.
