Description
This item is a letter from the Chief of Staff of the South East Area Army to the 8th Military District Headquarters regarding the order of repatriation. It includes a carbon copy of the original in English and a draft of the letter in Japanese. The Chief of Staff of the South East Area Army requests corrections in the repatriation schedule which was presented to General IMAMURA on 2 April 1946. Attachments include a list which indicates the order of repatriation for camp groups and units, and a list of units ordered to remain in Rabaul after the repatriation of their original camp groups.
