24 page blue photograph album belonging to 764 Lieutenant (Lt) Howard Chambers, 2nd Light Horse Regiment. The album holds 50 photographs, including two loose photographs inserted at the back, and is decoratively embossed 'Egypt souvenir' on the front cover. The images cover Lt Chambers' service in the Middle East, including views of El Shellal, conscription at Esna for ELC, Philae, cranes and sluice gates at the Aswan Low Dam (Old Aswan Dam), Edfu, Luxor, Karnak and the Temple of Ramses III. The last page holds a group portrait of the officers of the 1st Light Horse Brigade. Several photographs show men holding cameras. The two loose photographs at the back of the album are group portraits taken on Lt Chambers' return voyage, and include soldiers, a man holding a camera, and several women including nurses.
