Copeman, James (Major, b.1919 - d.2010)

Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of a letter and a certificate related to then-Lieutenant Copeman's award of the Military Cross in 1945. The letter, from General Sir Thomas Blamey and dated 28 August 1945, congratulates Copeman on his Military Cross, while the certificate contains the official citation for the award. The Military Cross was granted in recognition of Copeman's leadership and command of a platoon during an attack on Japanese positions near Wonginara, New Guinea, in April 1945.
