Description
Lee Enfield Mark 1* bolt action rifle. Receiver stamped with a crown over VR ENFIELD 1900 LE I*. The left hand side of the butt is carved with the name H Anderson 1355. The right side of the fore end near the rear sight has been hand checkered. This rifle is complete with a buff leather sling.
History / Summary
This rifle was issued to Trooper Herbert Webb Anderson of the 5th Victoria Mounted Rifles during the Boer War.
