Description
Letter from Nina Campbell to the editor of the Women's pages, Sydney Morning Herald, Paris 1 July [1916]. In her letter, Nina requests help from the editor to establish a charity “The War Baby’s Cradle” in Australia which was started by a Belgian, Countess de Hemptinne and helps women and infants in the villages behind the fighting lines in France. Attached is a letter written in French, with an English translation from Lea Magerelle to Benefactrice, Remis, 12 June 1916. In the letter Lea thanks the organisation for their help.
