Case Carrying : M16 rifle
Tapering green cotton canvas pouch designed to hold a folding steel bi-pod and cleaning tools for the M16 rifle. The pouch has a main pocket designed to store the folding bi-pod, and is secured by two press studs. There is a smaller zippered pocket and a tubular side pocket with a canvas loop and press stud which hold the other tools. At the back of the case is a single blackened steel belt slide which is attached to a piece of reinforced webbing. Stencilled below the belt slide is black text which has faded with age and wear. The following items are contained in the pouch - Four lengths of threaded steel push rod, one with a folding 'T' handle; a short section of threaded rod with an eyelet at one end to hold a piece of oily rag; and a selection of three threaded copper, brass and steel barrel/cylinder brushes. The folding steel bi-pod is not present.
