Description

Austrian mountain gun, no 1549 and carriage no 3006.

History / Summary

This was a light infantry support weapon with a range of up to 3 km. The weapon could be broken into three loads for transport, and fired a range of HE, HE/ Shrapnel and tracer fixed ammunition. This weapon was captured from the Turks at Rayak, Syria. This gun was afterwards mounted on a Ford car and used against the Turks in the attack on Aleppo by Lieut. Nunan 1st Sqn AFC.
