Callisher & Terry Rifle
Description
Calisher & Terry Rifle. This weapon is commonly refered to as a 'capping breechloader'. The percussion lock plate is engraved Calisher & Terry. Barrel breech is engraved Terry's Patent 30 Bore with Jackson Brothers Liverpool in front of the sight. The bayonet bar is numbered 170. It is complete with all original parts.
History / Summary
The Queensland Government purchased 206 of this type of rifle in the early 1860's for nine pounds each.
