Snider-Enfield Mk III Short Rifle : British Army
Description
Snider-Enfield Mk III two band Short Rifle. Lock marked Crown over VR and B.S.A.Co. over 1872. Butt has the Birmingham, WD armoury roundel and is stamped 49 over 68. This rifle is a MkIII sergeant's model with steel furniture. It has a black leather sling but is missing the nipple protector and chain.
