Description
Pattern 1844 Yeomanry Carbine. Lock marked crown over VR over Tower 1844. Stock maker W Scott. Butt marked arrow over BO and 44 over 12 with the tang engraved F over 12. Barrel stamped Enfield 1844. This weapon is complete with its original captive ramrod and sling bar.

This type of carbine was used in New South Wales, Queensland and possibly Western Australia by colonial mounted troops.
