Berthier Model 1892 Artillery Carbine
Description
Berthier Model 1892 Artillery Carbine (Mousqueton). Blued steel action and a polished bolt with a turned down cocking arm. Marked on the left side of the receiver St Etienne Mle 1892 and on the right side of the barrel Mousqueton d'Artillerie JH.M.M. MA S 1894. It has a one piece wooden stock with a finger groove to each side of the fore end. A saddle ring or sling swivel is attached to the left side and has a stacking hook on the right side of the end cap. The butt is damaged and it is missing the cleaning rod.
