Description

Depicts the ship, HMAS Brisbane, a RAN destroyer, preparing to leave the wharf at shore station HMAS Stirling, Western Australia, on way to the Middle East, following the beginning of the First Gulf War. An unidentified naval tug is assisting, seen at the stern of the ship. Lynne Norton is the daughter of Second World War and Korea official artist, Frank Norton.
