Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of S6706 Sub-Lieutenant Kevin Tracey Kimball. Collection consists of a 213 page printed memoir titled 'A Corvette Story: Naval Memoirs of World War II', by Kevin Tracey Kimball. The memoir, which is based on Kimball's personal diaries, covers Kimball's enlistment in the Royal Australian Navy, his training and service with the RAN, including his experiences with HMAS Maryborough in the Mediterranean Sea. Describes the allied invasion of Sicily on 9 July 1943, among other battles.
