Description
Australian soldiers inspecting a Turkish sniper's position on a peak after the sniper had been killed. The sniper had been shooting Australian soldiers who were camped in dugouts in the gully underneath the peak and used carrier pigeons to send messages to the Turkish forces. One of a series of photographs from an album relating to the service of Lieutenant William Hopkin 'Hop' James, 1st Light Horse Regiment.
