Studio portrait of 4237 Private William Seymour Wallin, 6th Machine Gun Company of Seymour, Victoria (standing) and an unidentified Australian serviceman also of the 6th Machine Gun Company. Later promoted to Corporal (Cpl) Wallin, 2nd Australian Machine Gun Battalion, he died of wounds at St Quentin Wood on 11 August 1918, aged 22.
