Informal outdoor portrait of NX35417 Gunner (Gnr) Frederick Joseph Joyce, 3 Anti-Tank Regiment. Gnr Joyce was attached to the 2/1 Pioneer Battalion when he was killed in action on 6 July 1942. He is buried in the El Alamein War Cemetery at Marsa Matruh, Egypt.
