Album of 50 pages with 341 photographs; the cover being made of beige fabric. The album belonged to NX76519 Lieutenant (Lt) Rita May Hind, Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) and Australian Army Medical Women's Service (AAMWS). Lt Hind enlisted on 17 October 1941, served in the Middle East from 1941 to 1943 and was discharged in 1947. The album illustrates her service in the Middle East in 1942 and in Australia from 1943 to 1946. The images include official Army photographs and personal photographs of fellow nurses, parades, camp life, training, weddings and leave. The medical facilities and camps include 2/6 Australian General Hospital (AGH) at Gaza Ridge, Palestine, and Rocky Creek, Queensland; Voluntary Aid Detatchments (VAD); Land Headquarters (LHQ) Army Women's Services Officers' School (AWSOS) at Toorak, Victoria, and 106 AGH at Bonegilla, Victoria.
