Brown linen covered album of 26 pages and 52 photographs depicting the training of 38721 Gunner (Gnr) Harold William Charlton, 33rd Reinforcements, Field Artillery. A student of Rockhampton, Queensland, he enlisted on 8 May 1917 and trained at Enoggera Camp prior to embarking from Sydney, NSW, on 19 December 1917. Gnr Charlton was posted to the 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column after his arrival in England for training. Gnr Charlton arrived in France in September 1918 but was evacuated to England unwell and left for Australia on 3 March 1919, following a bout of influenza.
