Captain Charles Cuvet Matheson (left) and Lieutenant Christopher Rupert Fenwicke, both of 3rd Squadron Australian Flying Corps, beside an RE8 aircraft. These men flew together in Contact-Patrol and Bombing missions in late October to early November 1918. Their RE8 aircraft had the serial number E123, aircraft letter "Q".
