Description

1. Local army contingent parade. Soldiers marching from their drill hall to the railway station at Young, NSW (B&W) 2. Mr Menzies in Young. Mr Menzies walking down Boorowa Street, Young. (Colour). 3. Over the Blue Mountains. 6th Division marching over the Blue Mountains (Colour). 4. AIF at Cowra. On parade at Cowra show grounds showing off their equipment - Bren gun carriers and guns (Colour). 5. The Amiens rail gun. Shows the gun still on the rails at Canberra railway yards (B&W) 6. Local army contingent on parade at Young Show. (Colour). 7. Anzac Day march 1940 Sydney. Shows Mounted Police, Naval band, sailors, submariners, Army band, 2nd Battalion, Pipe band 3rd Battalion (B&W). 8. Sydney Harbour March 1941. Troopships Queen Mary and Mauretania and the cruiser HMAS Canberra in Sydney Harbour. Mauretania at wharf and Queen Mary in middle of harbour and HMAS Canberra moored in Neutral Bay (B&W). 9. Fire destroys Young Cool Stores. Shows the fire burning at night and the aftermath the next day (Colour, B&W). 10. Young helps Greek Appeal. Shows local Army contingent, the 56th Battalion, nurses, Land Army girls, local groups and floats moving down Boorowa St. Young. The parade was in support of the local Greek community (B&W, Colour).
