Allied Military Government safety campaign in Kure-Hiroshima district
This film as taken at the request of the Military Government Legal Section who hoped to use some of the scenes in a long range safety campaign. Instructions divided into three phases. 1. Instruction of Japanese police in latest American methods of testing drivers with locally made testing apparatus. 2. Instructions of police in traffic control and apprehension of traffic violators. 3. Demonstration by BCOF cyclists to an assembly of Japanese cyclists of their (the Japanese) faults on the road and the correct traffic procedure of cyclists in city traffic.
