Description
This RAAF news item shows Iroquois helicopters of No. 9 Squadron RAAF working in support of ground troops. helicopter crew briefing at HQ; preparation and take off; landing, taking on water and "C" rations for an artillery position; take off and landing wounded Australian soldiers; helicopter crew scramble; take off; door gunner returns Viet Cong small arms fire; helicopter unable to pick up wounded soldier; door gunner is winched down; wounded soldier is winched up; arrival of "chopper" at army hospital, Vung Tau; wounded soldier transferred to hospital; helicopter takes off.
