Naples is a battlefield
Description
Made for the Ministry of Information by the RAF Film Production Unit and the Army Film Unit. Covers the aftermath of the liberation of Naples by Allied Armies on 1 October 1943. Food riots, water shortages, outbreaks of typhus and typhoid. Soldiers efforts to feed the population. German time bombs explode, one at the post office on 7 October 1943 killing one hundred people. Gradual reconstruction of the city and its services.
