The Sphinx
Description
Another view of Plugg's Plateau with the Sphinx in the foreground and the Anzac frontline in the distance. To the left is the Nek marked by the slight area of flat ground. To the far left is Walker's Ridge and beyond that jagged climb is flat land leading to Suvla Bay. View of The Sphinx from, 75 years after the Landing at Anzac Cove. This painting shows the appalling terrain over which the Australians fought. Painted 26th April,1990.
