Description
A view across a lake with farm buildings in the distance, behind are steep mountain ranges. This drawing was included in a folio of drawings by Mrs Marianne Young (also known as Marianne Postans) that she prepared for her book 'Our Camp in Turkey, and the way to it', published by Richard Bentley, London 1854. Due to the outbreak of the Crimean War they were not included in the original publication. This work is attributed to Marianne Young but the authorship is not certain.
