Description
A town street in Poziere, with trees and a church. Paul Mansard was a French artist. This etching was presented to the War Memorial by Sister Constance Adelaide Stone MBE, RRC, a nurse, who enlisted in November 1914 and initially served with the No.2 Australian General Hospital and spent time in Egypt and Great Britain, before returning to Australia in July 1919. The work was one of a number of aquatints that she gave to the War Memorial in March 1935 as 'war mementoes of an Australian Army nurse'.
