RAAF seaplanes at dispersal points, Rathmines
Description
Vought Sikorsky Kingfisher float planes of RAAF at Rathmines, hauled out of the water and dispensed agmonst the giant Ti-Trees and gums of the lake-side. These aircraft were designed principally for naval observation and reconnaissance but apart from their occasional use in escorting coastal convoys, where mainly used by RAAF, for training pilots in the handling of areaplanes.
