A deck midships - HMT "Duntroon"
Description
Formerly the "A" Class dancing space on a coastal liner this deck now accommodates troops who sleep in hammocks and keep their gear in kit rakes built either side of the funnel uptake. When not in use hammocks are lashed up. At night, or in bad werather, windows (blacked out) are closed and a couple of dim blue lights indicate the position of doors etc, Indian Ocean.
