"Fairmile" and RAAF rescue craft at wharf
Description
The finished products in their official colours waiting to go out on tests. The Fairmil (background) is a submarine chaser and the other craft are Air-sea rescue craft of the Royal Australian Air Force. They have been constructed at Halveson's Shipbuilding Yard, Ryde, N.S.W. All the craft are of timber construction and range from Fairmile motor launches to fast supply boats and search and rescue launches for the RAAF.
