AK 47 assault rifle ammunition chest rig: Viet cong
Description
Brown canvas ammunition pouches for an AK-47. Three large central pouches are flanked by a smaller pair on each side, all sewn to a canvas backing panel. Each pouch is fastened with a heavy cotton tape loop and wooden toggle. Cross-over canvas straps, with white metal slides for adjustment, extend from each end of the outer small pouches to the opposing end of the furthest large pouch. An nadditional cotton tape tie secures the bandolier around the wearer's back.

These pouches and 18 assorted weapons were captured By B And V Companies 2 RAR on operation Duntroon in Phuoc Tuy province on 14th January, 1968.
