German Third Reich Cavalry Officer's Sword and Scabbard
Description
German Third Reich Cavalry Officer's sword and scabbard. The hilt is a gilt/brass P shape stirrup type with crossed swords and lances on the crossguard langet. The lions head pommel has red glass eyes. The grip is black plastic bound with gilt and aluminium wire. The plain, slightly curved chromed blade has a single fuller to each side and the ricasso has the trade mark Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co, Solingen of a knights head over WKC. The black painted scabbard has a single loose ring attached to a band 70 mm down from the throat.
