Transcribed letters from Douglas Gordon Campbell to his Father, 1915-1917
Transcribed letters relating to service of Captain Douglas Gordon Campbell, 5th Field Artillery Brigade. The original letters were written by Captain Campbell to his Father between 11 August 1915 and 17 October 1917, and describe the living conditions on Gallipoli, the difficulties of fighting in France and the experience of constant shelling. The transcriptions were made by Captain Campbell's family and the Australian War Memorial in 1928. The locations of the originals is unknown.
