Description

Libyan Scimitar sword and scabbard. The hilt is a straight brass engraved crossguard with double langets and engraved brass strap around the tang. The bone grips are rivetted to the tang and has a pronounced bulbous curved pommel. The curved blade has a single fuller to each side to the double edged point and some light engraving in the form of wheat husks near the ricasso. The scabbard is leather covered wood and has a pin punch embossed nickel silver chape. There are two loose hanger rings on steel bands.
