Australian servicemen embarking for Canada aboard RMS Empress of Russia. The Empress of Russia was used as a troop ship during the First and Second World Wars. During the Second World War, she was used to transport RAAF recruits from Australia to Canada to participate in the Empire Air Training Scheme.
