Letter from Charlie Addison to his Mother, 1915
Description
Photostat copy of a letter relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Wilfred Emmott Addison, 18th Battalion. The original letter was sent by 1793 Private Charles Glentworth Addison to his mother, Mrs Addison on the 25 August 1915. In the letter, which includes a hand-drawn map, Charles Addison discusses a chance meeting he had with Wilfred Addison only a day before he was killed. The photostat copy was made by the Australian War Memorial in 1928.
