Description

Spiral-bound typed illustrated manuscript detailing the life of Midshipman Cymbeline Alonso Edric Huddart, primarily his service with the Royal Navy aboard the cruiser HMS Doris. Huddart died from wounds received at the Battle of Graspan in South Africa on 25 November 1899 and was posthumously awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross in 1901. The manuscript was compiled by Commander Greg Swinden in 2012 and comprises a four page biography on the life of Huddart and copies of secondary source material used by Swinden to write the biography.
