Description

Original grave marker of 6280 Private (Pte) Cyril Burge Cooke, 18th Battalion. A fitter's assistant from Lidcombe, NSW, Pte Cooke embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Suevic (A29) on 11 November 1916. He died of wounds on 11 May 1918. Pte Cooke's name has been misspelled on the cross.
