Studio portrait of 403 Private (Pte) Henry James 'Harry' Roberts, 2nd Mobile Section Australian Army Veterinary Corps. A groom from Traralgon, Victoria prior to enlistment, Pte Roberts later transferred to the 8th Mobile Section. Whilst serving in the Middle East he contracted dysentery and, as a result of this illness, he died on 28 August 1918 and was buried in the Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel.
