Collection relating to the First World War service of 2230 Private William Henry 'Harry' Soulsby, France and Scotland, 1916.
Wallet 1 of 1 - contains two letters written by Private Soulsby to his brother Bertie (Bert) Clark Soulsby, dated 19 November and 19 December 1916. Mentions cold, snow, mud and shells at the Somme and relief at being granted leave in Scotland.
Private William Soulsby was killed in action in France on 25 April 1917.
