Studio portrait of 5453 Private (Pte) Benjamin Leslie Tripcony, 23rd Battalion. A farmer from Lake Boga, Victoria, Pte Tripcony embarked with the 14th Reinforcements on 1 August 1916 aboard HMAT Miltiades (A28). On 3 May 1917 during the second attack on Bullecourt, Pte Tripcony was killed. Pte Tripcony has no known grave, and his name is recorded on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
