Studio portrait of NX1419 Private (Pte) Edward Wallace (Ted) Proudfoot, 2/2 Battalion. A railway porter of Scone, NSW, he enlisted on 2 November 1939. On 4 January 1941 Pte Proudfoot died of wounds received at Bardia. He was aged 21 years. His brother 403006 Squadron Leader Samuel George Proudfoot RAAF, was killed on 13 September 1943 in India.
