Description
'Scramble and Intercept', an autobiography detailing the service of 91006 Sergeant Doris Isobel (Sue) White (later Sue Force) who served in the WAAAF during the Second World War with 101 and 103 Fighter Control Units. Force describes her enlistment, training in Townsville and service in Sydney. The manuscript also includes information about Sue's fiance, 418029 Flying Officer Arthur George (A.G.) Weymouth, 82 Squadron who died in October 1944 in an operation over the Kai Islands. Force gives a moving description of her visit to the Ambon War Cemetery in 2007 to view A.G.'s grave.
