Description
Hard bound manuscript containing a number of typed notes written by R. K. Peacock. Many of the notes are accompanied by newspaper articles on the same subject, some of which were also written by Peacock. The articles and entries cover military fashion, uniforms and insignia as well as explanations of some service terms. Includes a typed transcript of 'The 'Digger' hat, the badge and the emu plume', a talk by Peacock broadcast over Melbourne radio station 3UZ on Wednesday, January 4th, 1939. Also includes photographs and a drawing of the rising sun badge.
