Studio portrait of 3868 Private (Pte) (Acting Corporal?) Alexander Graham Watson, 1st Battalion, of Harris Park, NSW. A driver prior to enlisting in August 1915, Pte Watson embarked from Sydney with 12th Reinforcements on board RMS Mooltan on 11 December 1915. While undertaking further training in Egypt, he was transferred to the 13th Battalion. Pte Watson arrived in France for service on the Western Front on 6 June 1916 and was killed in action at Pozieres, France, on 14 August 1916. He was 34 years of age.
