Studio portrait of 19480 Petty Officer Stoker (PO Sto) Allan Ridley Morton Buchanan, HMAS Sydney II, of Malvern, Victoria. PO Sto Buchanan enlisted in the RAN on 4 December 1929. He was killed in action, aged 33, when HMAS Sydney II was sunk in the Indian Ocean by the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran on 20 November 1941.
