Studio portrait of 872 Private (Pte) Sebastian Tatti of Daylesford, Vic. Pte Tatti served under the alias 'Tatte'. A miner prior to enlisting on 14 September 1914, he embarked at Fremantle with the 12th Battalion on 2 November 1914 aboard HMAT Medic (A7). He was transferred to the 52nd Battalion 3 March 1916, and then to the 13th Australian Field Ambulance on 24 September 1916. Pte Tatti was killed in action on 27 March 1917. He is buried at Vaulx Hill Cemetery in France.
