Studio portrait of 661 Private (Pte) Thomas Hudson Owen, 22nd Battalion, of Brunswick, Vic. A labourner prior to enlistment he embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Ulysses on 10 May 1915. Pte Owen was reported missing and killed in action on 3 May 1917 in France, aged 21. He is buried at the Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy, France.
