Studio group portrait of the Farquhar brothers of Tasmania. Standing, from left: Hedley, Douglas and Robert. Seated is 3320 Private (Pte) Albert Gustavus Farquhar, 1st Battalion, of Scotsdale, Tas, who was a labourer prior to enlisting in July 1915. He embarked from Sydney with the 11th Reinforcements on board HMAT Themistocles (A32) on 5 October 1915. Pte Farquhar was killed in action at Pozieres, France, on 25 July 1916. He was 29 years of age.
