Studio portrait of 3687 Private Arthur Badger, 3rd Battalion of Lidcombe, NSW. A carpenter prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Medic (A7) on 30 December 1915. On 8 August 1918, near Amiens, France, during the Third Battle of the Somme he was wounded in action. He died of his wounds at the 8th Field Ambulance Station, France on 9 August 1918, aged 24. He is buried in the Adelaide Cemetery, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
